What Makes Up Your Mini Cooper S Clutch System?

1. Clutch Plate

   The clutch plate is the main player here! Sandwiched between the engine's flywheel and the pressure plate, the clutch disc transfers power from the engine to the transmission. Over time, it can wear out due to friction - you might find that when you accelerate, the revs go up without the vehicle increasing speed.

2. Flywheel

   This is a heavy, round metal plate connected to the engine, acting as a base for the clutch disc. The flywheel plays a dual role: it stores rotational energy and provides a friction surface for the clutch plate to grip. 3. Pressure Plate

4. Release Bearing

5. Clutch Pedal and Clutch Master Cylinder
